Woodley Festival 2012
March 3rd - 18th

Wescott Infant School receiving the Star Award from Ann Manning at the 2011 Festival Finale Concert.

We are delighted to introduce the syllabus for the 42nd Woodley Festival. Once again most of the Festival will be held at Woodley Town Council’s excellent Oakwood Centre. We aim to provide high quality for your enjoyment and are very selective in our choice of professional adjudicators, venues and other facilities. In addition to being an enjoyable artistic success, the 2011 Festival saw some 6,200 visitors including 2,200 performers and 1,000 performances.

We strive to create a warm and friendly environment, with the emphasis being on the enjoyment of performance and the appreciation of others’ efforts – all in the presence of professional adjudicators and a supportive audience.

The MANNINGUK Perseverance Cup, awarded across the whole Festival, will be presented by our sponsor, at the Festival Finale Concert..

Year 4 Choral Verse at the Myra McCulloch Theatre, University of Reading.

We are very grateful to MANNINGUK for a 7th year of generous support & participation as our sponsor. We also wish to thank our committee, our president, and some 50 volunteers who all help to make the Festival run smoothly.

We all look forward to welcoming you to the 2012 Woodley Festival.

Jackie Baines & Colin Brown (Co-chairs).
